May 3: DR Mike Romano, Ph.D., will be speaking on the venomous snakes of Illinois. DR Romano while studying turtles along the Mississippi River picked up a lot of his knowledge of the venomous snakes of Illinois. He is a professor at Western Illinois University in Macomb.
June 2: Field trip to the St. Louis Zoo. We are to meet at the herp building at 11am for a behind the scens tour.

July 5: Chris Kilpatrick, CIHS member will be speaking on working with constrictors and breeding snakes. Chris a long time member of the society is currently working with some of the more rare color morphs of ball pythons.
August 2: Show and Tell, and our Annual Show prep.

August 25 & 26 : Our 16th Annual Show, held at Lakeview Museum, Peoria, Illinois. This is one of Illinois largest non sale shows in the state. View all different type of reptiles and amphibians. 10-5 Saturday, Noon to 5 Sunday. Some money raised during this event goes directly into conservation.
September 6: Curt Hendricks, former President of the St. Louis Herpetological Society will be speaking on keeping and breeding, blue tongue skinks.
October 4 : Doug Holmes, herpetologist at the Glen Oak Zoo will be speaking, his program is titled Herp Potpouri.
November 1 : Mike Nesbit, past president of CIHS will be speaking on Vietnamese Leaf Turtles.
December 6 : Annual Christmas party
